A native of Michigan, Dr. Tozer grew up in Hart, Michigan. He completed his bachelor´s degree in biology and chemistry at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan in 1991, he worked as an associate dentist in Grand Rapids, MI.
Dr. Tozer attends numerous continuing education classes at the Scottsdale Center of Advanced Dentistry, a leading institute for the practice of comprehensive dental care, treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), and complex restorative issues.
He and Jennifer, his wife of 24 years, live in Roscommon with their daughter. Their interests include their daughter´s college volleyball activities, and as supporters of the Association to Rescue Kritters (ARK). At ARK, Dr. Tozer had the opportunity to use his dental skills to save a red-tailed hawk that had lost its beak in an encounter with a car. Dr. Tozer used dental materials to build a temporary beak while the natural beak regenerated. He is an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoys bowling in the winter. He is also active in his church.
